THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the events of the world are proving once again that human survival is through the path shown by Guru. The chief minister was inaugurating the 167th Jayanti meet of Sree Narayana Guru via online at Chempazhanthi Gurukulam. He said the message of Guru is the solution to the serious social problems of the world. Kadakampally Surendran MLA presided over the function. Sreenarayana Gurukulam secretary Swami Subhangananda delivered the introductory speech. Minister V N Vasavan delivered the keynote address. Ministers Chinchu Rani, Antony Raju, G R Anil, V Sivankutty and opposition leader V D Satheesan were present at the function.

The function started with the ganpati homam at 5 in the morning. This was followed by special poojas and community prayers. The symbolic Jayanti procession will be inaugurated by Minister K N Balagopal at 5 pm. There will be a special pooja and community prayers at 6.30 pm. There will be no other functions including annadhanam due to Covid restrictions. The Jayanti meet can be viewed on Gurukulam's Facebook page.
