drug-case

KOCHI: The preliminary investigation into the sabotage of a case related to the seizing of drugs worth Rs 11 crore in Kochi has been completed. Abdul Rashi, Additional Commissioner of Excise, said that the lapse from the officials was being investigated.

Despite seizing more than one kg of MDMA in Kochi, the excise department registered case for keeping only 84 grams of drugs against the accused. The second FIR of the Excise states that one kg of MDMA was found in the bag which was not owned and the culprits could not be traced. As soon as this came out, more details of the coup attempt came out.

CCTV footage also showed the young woman, who was released along with the accused, hiding drugs. The incident took place before a joint inspection by Customs and Excise. Also, during a joint raid, deer antlers were found in the bag of one of the accused, Shabna. It was handed over to the Excise district team along with the drugs. But later mahasar or FIR did not say anything about it. There is no answer as to where the deer antlers was moved. All this points to a coup.

When the Customs Preventive Section and the Excise enforcement squad arrived at a private hotel in Kakkanad for inspection, two young women ran out of the room with covers. One of them is the arrested Shabana. It is learned that the woman accompanying her was a resident of Ambalappuzha who was released without being questioned by the excise department.
