THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Without backing the statement made by KPCC working president Kodikunnil Suresh MP against the Chief Minister, Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that he did not notice Kodikunnil's opinion. He added that the Congress does not have such an opinion.

Kodikunnil's controversial remarks came during a dharna demanding an inquiry into the SC-ST development fund scam. He said that the Chief Minister had neglected the Scheduled Castes and if he was a renaissance leader, the Chief Minister's daughter would have married a person from Scheduled Caste.

Kodikunnil Devaswom said that the Chief Minister's renaissance was only to secure his own seat. He also criticized the saying bringing Minister K Radhakrishnan as Devaswom Minister was renaissance. After the incident became a controversy, Kodikunnil Suresh MP said that he was questioning the sincerity in the claim that Chief Minister is a renaissance hero.
