THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has issued order declaring night curfew in the state from Monday. The curfew is from 10 pm to 6 am. Exemptions are granted only for essentials. People may travel in case of need for emergency treatment. Travel for bystanders of patients in the hospital is also allowed at night.
Freight vehicles can continue to travel at night, and employees engaged in emergency services are also exempt from the curfew. Travel is also permitted in the event of the death of a close relative. Long-distance travellers can also travel. People boarding train, ships, going to the airport can travel at night by carrying a ticket. People who want to travel for any other purpose will have to get permission from the nearest police station.
