PUTHUKKAD: The toll fee in Paliyekkara will be increased from September 1. A notification has been issued in this regard. For car, jeep, and van categories, the toll fee has been increased from Rs 75 to Rs 80 for a single trip. For the return journey, the fee has been increased from Rs 110 to Rs 120. The toll at Paliyekkara is revised annually depending on the change in the wholesale price index for each financial year. According to the contract, the toll can be collected till 2028.
