THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran said further reactions should be avoided for the good of the party in the DCC chiefs list. He asked the leaders to think whether such reactions are appropriate.

Sudhakaran said the announcement of A V Gopinath's resignation was in a special political situation in Palakkad and that he could not leave him like that. He said the two have a close relationship and are optimistic that Gopinath will not leave the party and go anywhere.

Sudhakaran said the issue related to DCC presidents is a closed chapter. All issues have been discussed and have given an answer to all allegations. Sudhakaran said the group leaders can say what they want but the final decision would be taken by the high command.

Sudhakaran said one cannot go with the controversy every day. The party on the whole will change in six months. He said the party would change to semi-cadre behaviour.

Sudhakaran said the party still wants Oommen Chandy and Chennithala to be the strength and shadow of the party. K Muraleedharan is one of the pillars of the Congress. He also reminded that it is the duty of the leaders not to destroy the party which has been nurtured with great effort. Sudhakaran said that he has nothing to do with replacing Tariq Anwar and everything is decided by the high command.
