THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the furore over the DCC list, Palakkad Congress leader AV Gopinath had announced his resignation from the party at a press conference today. During the press conference, Gopinath had said that it is a matter of pride to be the domestic servant of Pinarayi Vijayan, a leader with a great legacy. Now, Ratheesh Paruthipulli, a Congress worker, has come out with a response to Gopinath's statement.

'None of us are ready to become the servant or lick the shoes of Pinarayi as Gopiyettan said in the press conference. Peringottukurissi Congress Governing Council will complete 5 years. New leadership will come to place soon. I am also beneath this flag. For me, my party is important,' he wrote on his Facebook page. Ratheesh also shared a picture of him holding the Youth Congress flag on his Facebook page.
