THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P S Prashanth who levelled allegations against AICC secretary K C Venugopal and Palode Ravi, new DCC president of Thiruvananthapuram, has resigned the primary membership of the congress.
KPCC secretary Prashanth was the Congress candidate in Nedumangad constituency in the last assembly elections. KPCC president K Sudhakaran had yesterday expelled Prashanth from the party for challenging the Congress high command and making wild allegations.
Prashanth said that he was ending his 30-year Congress life and has not thought to cooperate with which party. He said no congress leader intervened when he was ousted from the party.
Prashanth alleged that the new DCC chiefs were close to K C Venugopal and that the latter is responsible for the collapse of the Congress in Kerala.
Meantime, Prashanth alleged that Palode Ravi defeated him in Nedumangad and is a person promoting communalism. The party was informed about this along with evidence but no action was taken and instead promoted him. Prashanth alleged that are intimidating his co-workers and that Palode Ravi's claim that he had worked with him in the election is totally baseless.
Palode Ravi is a good actor and deserves an Oscar. Palode Ravi mentally harassed him during election time, said Prashanth.
