THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: RMP leader KK Rema MLA said that it was in the special interest of the Chief Minister that the accused in the TP case were given regular bail. In her Facebook post, she stated that 11 accused in the case have been granted 4614 days parole. 'All the accused except Kodi Suni are out of jail on special corona leave. PK Kunjananthan, who was given 327 days' leave as per the High Court order, died while he was on special bail. Since 2017, Kirmani Manoj was given 180 days, Anoop 175 days, Annan Sijith 255 days, Vazhapadachchi Rafeeq 170 days, Trouser Manoj 257 days, Mohammad Shafi 180 days, Shinoj 150 days, and Rajeesh 160 days of leave. This is in addition to the 290 days of special corona leave allowed in 2020,' Rema wrote on her Facebook page.

'A week ago, Kodi Suni was caught with a Bluetooth headset in his hand at Viyyur Jail. The accused in the TP murder case are being sent in and out of jail with the help of the Home Department. The people of Kerala know exactly why the CM is so much interested in the accused in the TP murder case.' she added. Rema also accused the Chief Minister of misusing the Home Department and the Health Department to grant parole to the accused.
