ERNAKULAM: A woman who tried to commit suicide after setting her children on fire in Thuravoor in Angamaly also died. Anju, wife of late Anoop hailing from Ilanthuruthy and children Athira (Chinnu-7) and Anusha (Kunju-3) died. Neighbors tried to rush the three to the hospital, but the children died before reaching there.

The woman, who is in a critical condition, was to be shifted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital for further treatment. Neighbors said Anju was suffering from mental illness after her husband died of a heart attack a month and a half ago. Police have launched an investigation into the incident
