THRISSUR: In the Karuvannur bank scam case, 13 CPM leaders, who are members of the bank's board have been named as accused. With this, the number of accused in the case has increased to 18. The crime branch reported the details of the case to the Iringalakuda court. Supermarket manager Reggie, one of the main accused in the case, was arrested by the police today.

A three-member committee has been appointed to assess the assets and liabilities of Karuvannur Bank, where crores of rupees has been embezzled. The committee will also evaluate the amount of money to be repaid to investors. The three-member committee will work under the supervision of the Co-operative Registrar. The committee is also tasked with identifying the debt to be recovered and taking necessary action.
