THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MSF National Vice President Fathima Thahliya slammed the government over a controversial question in the second year Higher Secondary Equivalency examination conducted by the Literacy Mission. In her Facebook post, Fathima wrote that if the Sangh Parivar had ruled only the Home department in the first Pinarayi government, now all the departments are directly ruled by the RSS.
A controversy had erupted after the second-year Sociology question paper included the question 'Are minorities a threat to the unity and integrity of India?' After the incident became controversial, the Literacy Mission explained that the question was not prepared by them but by the Higher Secondary Board. The Higher Secondary Board has also stated that it will look into the incident. The question paper is now in the final stages of evaluation. The examination is conducted by the Department of Education on behalf of the Literacy Mission.
