THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 26,200 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 24,999 persons developed the disease through contact, including 1006 cases without an identified source of infection. 81 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 114 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

29,209 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,36,345 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 125 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 22,126.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Thrissur 3279, Ernakulam 3175, Thiruvananthapuram 2598, Malappuram 2452, Kozhikode 2332, Kollam 2124, Palakkad 1996, Alappuzha 1604, Kottayam 1580, Kannur 1532, Pathanamthitta 1244, Wayanad 981, Idukki 848 and Kasaragod 455.

1,56,957 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 16.69.
