THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 25,010 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 23,791 persons developed the disease through contact, including 1012 cases without an identified source of infection. 102 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 105 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

23,535 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,37,643 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 177 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 22,303.

Thrissur 3226, Ernakulam 3034, Malappuram 2606, Kozhikode 2514, Kollam 2099, Palakkad 2020, Thiruvananthapuram 1877, Alappuzha 1645, Kannur 1583, Kottayam 1565, Pathanamthitta 849, Idukki 826, Wayanad 802, Kasargod 364.

1,51,317 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 16.53.
