THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Renowned Malayalam poet Sundaram Dhanuvachapuram (Prof I Sundaran Pillai-84)passed away on Wednesday morning. He had been undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for post-Covid complications. The funeral took place at Thycaud Shanthi Kavadam in the evening.

He had served as Principal of Govt. Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram, Govt. Sanskrit College, Pattambi and University College, Thiruvananthapuram and as a Malayalam teacher in various government colleges. He retired in 1993 after 30 years of service as a college lecturer. He then served as a professor at the University of Sanskrit for 3 years.
