THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 13,834 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 13,138 persons developed the disease through contact, including 552 cases without an identified source of infection. 74 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 70 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

13,767 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,42,499 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 95 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 25,182.
