KOTTAYAM: Abhishek Baiju, the accused in the murder of Nithinamol, a student of St Thomas College, Pala, had been plotting the murder for days. In addition to rejecting the love proposal, suspicion also led to the murder.

The accused had earlier told police that his plan was to request Nithina to continue their affair and to threaten her by slitting his own wrist if she disagrees to it. However, the investigation team suspect this as a lie.

He bought the blade a week ago. He then replaced the rusty blade with a new one. He had sent a message to his friend saying that he would kill Nithina. The investigation team also found that the accused had threatened Nithina's mother.

Police now suspect whether anyone trained him to commit the crime. Nithina's vocal cord was cut off in the first stab. This is the main reason for the suspicion.
