ADIMALI: Police have arrested a man who murdered a six-year-old boy in Idukki. The arrested has been identified as Sunilkumar (Shan), the boy's aunt's husband. He was arrested from a bush near Muthuvankudi in Vellathooval by Sunday night.

Althaf, son of Riyaz and Safiya, was hammered to death by Shahjahan in the early hours of Sunday. According to the police, Shahjahan barged into the house of Riyaz and attacked the family using a hammer. Althaf's mother Safiya and grandmother suffered serious injuries. There were some issues between the families for quite some time.
