MALAPPURAM: Nilambur MLA PV Anvar has said that he will not do any business in Kerala and will focus on his business enterprises abroad. Anvar, who recently returned from abroad, said this while visiting the leaders at the CPM district committee office in Malappuram.

"The Adivasis in Cheenkannipalli had assured the Collector that the check dam would not affect the 28 Adivasis there. The Adivasis of the Karimbil colony had demanded that the check dam should not be demolished as their wells were filled with water because of the check dam. Let them demolish whatever they can. However, they won't be able to demolish anything in Africa. I have lost all interest in doing business in Kerala. I won't even start a corner shop in the state. I have decided to give up business in Kerala to work for the people of the constituency," Anvar said.

"I need one more year to solve my problems. After that, I will be at the forefront of the CPM in the district. The Congress may be a business for the opposition leader. I am a person who earns a living by working hard and I was taught to do so by my father. I will still go and work in Africa," he added.
