THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An accused in a ganja case fled after hurling bomb at the police in the capital city. The incident happened when the police reached the room of the lodge in Killippalam where the drug gang including him was staying following secret information. The CCTV footages of the accused fleeing after hurling bomb have been obtained.
Two including him attacked police officers of the anti-narcotics squad. After hurling bomb, they jumped down from the third floor of the lodge. The main accused fled to safety. The police immediately arrested two of his co-accused. Police said they were intoxicated. One of them is a 16-year-old minor. The second person arrested is Rajeesh. The police have seized five kilograms of cannabis, swords and three guns from their room.
The main accused ran without even wearing a shirt. The shopkeepers chased him out when he tried to hide in a shop at the Killipppalam Junction. He soon tried to hire an auto and flee to Peroorkada. He fled when they refused to take him. The other person fled to Attukal. The police have intensified search for them.
