THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P S Jayachandran, father of Anupama has responded to the adoption controversy. He said the baby was kept at Ammathottil, an electronic cradle functioning under the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare. He said that he doesn’t know who changed the baby’s father’s name and address in the birth certificate.

‘Ajit's moral aspect is unacceptable to any family. How to accept my daughter’s relationship with a married man?' asked Jayachandran.

Jayachandran said that he had informed everything to the party before the baby was born. He said that he had not gone underground. Jayachandran told a media that he had attended the Peroorkada local committee meet convened yesterday. CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan had yesterday asserted that Jayachandran had gone underground and so an explanation has not been obtained on the incident.

Meantime, the director of department of women and child development will record Anupama's statement today. The notice issued has asked her to reach the office of the director of women and child development at 4 pm today. The department has directed to produce the documents and receipts.
