IDUKKI: Another shutter has been raised at the Mullaperiyar dam. Shutter number 2 was raised at nine o'clock. Through this, an additional 250 cubic feet of water will be released per second. The shutter was raised in view of Kerala's demand to reduce the water level.

With this, the amount of water flowing out will be 825 cubic feet. Currently 2,3,4 shutters are raised.
