THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anupama Chandran has lodged a complaint with the police against Minister Saji Cherian for insulting her husband. Anupama lodged the complaint at the Peroorkada police station this afternoon. In her complaint, she accused the minister of insulting her husband by raising baseless allegations.
The minister made the controversial remark while speaking at the inaugural function of a drama workshop for women in the Karyavattom campus of Kerala University. During the function, he indirectly criticized Anupama and her husband by stating that some people with immoral life were destroying the hopes of parents having girl children. "A married person, who has two or three children, developed an affair with his friend's wife. Later, he fell in love with a young girl and gave her a child. Now, this person is saying that the girl's father who questioned this should go to jail," the minister said.
