THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that all facilities have been made for the children arriving in the school after a gap of 20 months. He said a guideline has been issued detailing the steps to be taken when the school reopens and the academic activities for the first two weeks.
The minister said parents need not panic in sending their children to school. The government takes the full responsibility of the children. About 25% of the total children will come to schools in the first phase. Only one child is permitted to sit on a bench. Teachers who have not taken two doses of the vaccine need not come to school. They can teach their children online. Steps have been taken to appoint teachers in schools where vacancies have been reported and to recruit about 1800 head teachers. An amount of Rs 2.85 crore has been granted for the purchase of soap and hand wash.
