KOCHI: The police have arrested a Congress worker for smashing the car of actor Joju George during a protest rally organised by the Congress in Kochi. The arrested accused has been identified as Joseph, a native of Maradu in Kochi.

The Congress workers had smashed the windshield of Joju's Land Rover Defender car yesterday. According to the police, it is estimated that the accused had caused damage worth Rs 6 lakhs. Joseph's right hand was injured while he smashed the glass of the car. However, he went into hiding without seeking treatment at the hospital. Police have collected his blood samples for investigation. Seven accused, including Tony Chammany, are likely to be arrested on Wednesday.
