KOCHI: Congress has decided to take initiative to settle the issues between Joju George and the party over the incident that took place during a protest in Kochi. Ernakulam DCC president Mohammed Shiyas, who said that the party has decided to settle the issue, added that the friends of the actor have held talks with Congress leaders.

Shiyas said that provocations from both sides led to the verbal exchange between Joju and Congress workers. On Monday, Congress had staged a protest in Kochi against the rising fuel prices in the country. This led to a traffic jam from Edappally to Vyttila. The problems began when Joju questioned this. Following this, some Congress workers vandalized the actor's car.
