THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 80-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his 52-year-old son, who was in an inebriated state. The dead has been identified as Eliyas of Nemom. His son Cletius is a drunkard. The incident happened last night near St Antony’s Church at Karakkamandapamam in Nemom.

Cleitus, who was in an inebriated state, indulged into a verbal dispute with his father. Meantime, police also shared the suspicion whether Eliyas was stabbed. More details would be obtained only after getting the post-mortem report.
