THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lashing out at the state government, KPCC president K Sudhakaran said that the order to fell trees in Mullaperiyar was issued with the knowledge of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

"We have received evidence which proves that the order was issued with the knowledge of the Home Department. We will release the evidence at an appropriate time," Sudhakaran said.

"The people of Kerala are not fools to believe the claim that the order was issued without the knowledge of the government. The Pinarayi government has betrayed the people of Kerala by protecting the interests of Tamil Nadu," Sudhakaran added.
