THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police said a case cannot be registered against Minister Saji Cheriyan for his remarks against Anupama in the adoption controversy. This was informed by Sreekaryam police on the complaint lodged by Anupama. The police claimed that they examined the video footage of the minister's speech and that the FIR could not be registered unless sufficient evidence was obtained to register a case. The minister made the controversial remarks while delivering a speech at a function.
