THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The meteorological department has warned of possible low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. By Saturday, low pressure will form and strengthen by Monday. Heavy rains are expected in Kerala for the next five days.
Meanwhile, water levels in rivers in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Kollam districts are likely to rise as per the Central Water Commission's alert. It is announced that water levels in Achankovil, Manimala, Periyar, Meenachil, Pampa, Muvattupuzha, Ithikkara, Kallada and Pallikkal rivers and their tributaries are likely to rise.
