THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Friday said that CPM acting secretary A Vijayaraghavan should be given an old-age pension and allowed to settle down somewhere. Sudhakaran was responding to Vijayaraghavan's statement that the Congress was indulging in violence by following the Sangh Parivar style. Sudhakaran alleged that Vijayaraghavan had lost his senses and that he had become a liability to the party and the Kerala society.
Sudhakaran also asked if the CPM acting secretary had the backbone to correct the government that found itself on the defensive due to rising fuel prices and the Mullaperiyar tree felling controversy. "Instead of attacking the Congress, the CPM acting secretary should be correcting the government. Does he have the backbone to do so? The CM, who hasn't uttered a word regarding the tree felling at Mullaperiyar, is trying to save his face by putting the blame on the officials" he said
