KANNUR: Theft at the house of popular television actress Sreekala Sasidharan. 15 sovereign gold ornaments were stolen. The theft took place at the actress' house in Cherukunnu in Kannur. The burglars broke into the house by smashing the front door. Police have launched an investigation.

After marriage, Sreekala lived in London with her husband. She had recently returned home following the pandemic but was not aware of the theft. When she reached Cherukunnu last day, Sreekala came to know that the theft had taken place. She then lodged a complaint with the police. Fingerprint experts came and examined the place. The investigation is focusing on the locals and those close to the house. Police have also collected CCTV footage. It is not clear if there are any indications about thieves.
