THALASSERY: RSS Sangh Parivar activists on Friday staged a protest in Thalassery town in violation of the prohibitory order issued by the District Collector. Nearly 300 activists attended the protest.

The march, organised by the RSS activists from Vadikkal junction, was blocked by the police. Following this, the activists staged a sit-in protest. While the police urged the RSS activists to stop the protest, the BJP accused the police of acting unilaterally.

Although some slogans were raised against the SDPI, they were later withdrawn following the intervention of the leadership. The BJP leadership has said that it will cooperate with the police. The event was organized as a protest march against the SDPI.
