THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: VK Sanoj has been appointed as the new state secretary of DYFI. The post had become vacant after AA Rahim was appointed as the national president of DYFI. It was the CPM secretariat that decided to appoint Sanoj to the post of DYFI state secretary. This information was reported by CPM central committee member EP Jayarajan at the DYFI state secretariat meeting. The official announcement came after the DYFI fraction approved the decision of the CPM state committee.

VK Sanoj is currently the joint secretary of DYFI. Sources said that Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was also involved in bringing Sanoj, a native of Kannur, to the helm of the youth wing.
