THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has given more concessions to the pilgrims at Sabarimala against the backdrop of declining Covid spread. The concessions were decided during a meeting between Devaswom Minister K Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The traditional route from Pampa to Neelimala, Apachimedu and Marakoottam will be opened. Permission to stay overnight at Sannidhanam at night has also been given. 500 rooms have been set up for this. First aid facilities have been set up at Neelimala and Apachimedu. Permission will be granted for bathing and balitharpanam rituals at Pampa. The decision regarding this will be taken by the district administration after assessing the water level in Pampa on a daily basis.
