THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In yet another goonda attack in the capital, a man was hacked to death by a group. The group chased the man, hacked him to death and cut off his leg and left it by the roadside. The incident took place at Kalloor in Pothencode. The deceased has been identified as Sudheesh, 35, residing at Lakshamveed Colony in Chembakamangalam in Mangalapuram. Sudheesh's leg was cut off in front of his children. The attackers left the leg on the road half a kilometer away.
Sudheesh saw the goons and tried to escape but could not. They arrived by bike and autorickshaw. They smashed the doors and windows of the house and bombed the area, creating an atmosphere of terror. Sudheesh was accused in goonda cases at Attingal and Mangalore stations. Sudheesh had told the police on his way to the hospital that infamous goon 'Ottakam' Rajesh and his gang attacked him. Sudheesh was rushed to medical college hospital but died soon after.
