THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The strike by PG doctors in the medical colleges of the state has entered the third day. The Medical College Teachers' Union also came in solidarity with the strike.

House surgeons will go on strike in support of the PG doctors. Doctors will boycott the OP ward and pre-scheduled surgeries tomorrow. Days after the strike, no talks were held.

The government’s stand is that the demands have been accepted and so talks will not be held. Meantime, the recruitment process for non-academic junior doctors, a major demand of the strikers, will start tomorrow.
