KOCHI: Kerala is on Omicron alert. The six passengers who travelled in the flight along with the 39-year-old confirmed of Omicron, will be tested today. The driver of the taxi in which the infected travelled is also under observation.

A native of Thrikkakara who returned from Britain along with his wife at Nedumbassery Airport on December 6 was confirmed of Omicron yesterday. He reached Nedumbassery by Etihad E Y 280 via Abdu Dhabi. All passengers of the flight have been directed to be vigilant.

After he was confirmed of Covid-19, his mother, wife and mother-in-law have been shifted to the government hospital. Their samples have been sent for genome sequencing. Three of his family have been placed under quarantine. Their health condition is satisfactory, said Health Minister Veena George.
