KOTTAYAM: A woman hacked her husband to death in Puthupally. Rosanna hacked her husband Siji of Perumkavu in Puthupally. The incident happened Tuesday early morning. Rosanna’s relatives and neighbours said she is mentally ill. After committing the crime, she left home with her child.

The incident which happened early morning came to light very late. Seeing the home locked, the neighbours on suspicion entered the house and examined and then saw Siji lying in a pool of blood. Kottayam East police reached the spot and completed the inquest proceedings. A search has been intensified for Rosanna.

The child being with mentally ill Rosanna is a cause of concern. The police are trying hard to trace her. The body will be shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
