THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4006 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 3750 persons developed the disease through contact, including 207 cases without an identified source of infection. 14 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 35 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

3898 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 35,234 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 125 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 43,626.

Thiruvananthapuram 830, Ernakulam 598, Kozhikode 372, Kottayam 364, Thrissur 342, Kollam 260, Kannur 237, Idukki 222, Alappuzha 174, Pathanamthitta 158, Malappuram 132, Wayanad 132, Palakkad 115 and Kasaragod 70.
