THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Through a new program to prevent violence against women, the police will teach women how to deal with assaults.

One can learn about self-defence training program on social media. Tutorial videos on self-defence on the basics prepared by the Police Social Media Cell, will be released today on the official social media platforms of the police.

The training program for girls and women was prepared under the guidance of ADGP Manoj Abraham, Cell Nodal Officer. The tutorial video was conceived by Arun BT, a police officer in the cell.

Jaya Mary, Sulfath, Aneesban and Athulya, the members of the Women's Self Defence Team in Thiruvananthapuram City, are the ones giving training through the video.
