THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Metroman E Sreedharan said that he has quit active politics. He said that he learned a lesson from failure and that doesn’t mean giving up politics.
‘I will no longer be active in politics. That time is over. I will not say that I have given up politics. I have no desire to work. I am 90 years old. Entering politics at the age of 90 is dangerous. Entered politics when the BJP had hope. Even if I had won, there was nothing I could do,’ Sreedharan said while addressing the media in Malappuram.
‘I have not thought that political entry was not required, I wanted to work for the party then. Felt sad when defeated, no more political ambitions,’ he said.
Meantime, Sreedharan came down heavily on the Silver Line. The project will not benefit the country, there were serious flaws in the planning, he said.
