KOTTAYAM: The statement of the woman who hacked her husband to death with an axe is out. Rosanna told police that fights were common at home. Liquor consumption, immorality and helping brother more than his own house forced her to commit the crime.

Food was not cooked for three days following a fight. On that day, husband bought biryani from outside. She told police that her husband and son ate the food without offering her. The woman said the reason for the sudden provocation was that the remaining was served to his brother staying nearby.

Rosanna hacked her husband Siji alias Mathew Abraham (48) of Puthupally to death using an axe. She later fled home with her six-year-old son. Siji was an auto driver at Kanjirathummoodu. Siji was found lying in a pool of blood when his brother’s wife came in search of him. The police later nabbed her. Siji’s relatives told police that she has some mental issues.
