THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 3,404 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 3170 persons developed the disease through contact, including 199 cases without an identified source of infection. 8 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 27 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

4145 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 34,171 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 36 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 43,946.

Thiruvananthapuram 633, Kozhikode 523, Ernakulam 501, Thrissur 269, Kottayam 262, Kannur 227, Kollam 215, Malappuram 147, Pathanamthitta 135, Alappuzha 131, Palakkad 128, Idukki 80, Wayanad 79 and Kasaragod 74.
