THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Saturday said that the K-Rail project was unscientific. He also said that the government should convince the people that there was no flaw in the project.
"The government should not be adamant in the name of development. The development promised by the CM should not be a curse to the state. The SilverLine project will be a huge blow for the people. I humbly request the CM to reconsider the project," Sudhakaran said.
He also alleged that the CPM has turned K-Rail into a party office. "John Brittas' wife is the general manager of the project, Anavoor Nagappan's relative is the company secretary," he said. Sudhakaran also said that Kanam Rajendran's opinion was not CPI's opinion.
Sudhakaran also said that the party leadership has sought an explanation from Congress MP Shashi Tharoor for supporting the K-Rail project. "Though Tharoor has seen the world, he should abide by the party's discipline," he said.
