ALAPPUZHA: Eleven people have been arrested in connection with the murder of OBC morcha state secretary Renjith Srinivasan. SDPI activists were those taken into custody. District police chief G Jayadev said they are being questioned.

There are indications that the miscreants reached the spot in an ambulance controlled by the SDPI. The ambulance has been taken into custody. There are reports that deadly weapons were recovered from the ambulance. Eight people are directly involved in the murder.

Renjith was murdered Sunday early morning. He was hacked to death after an eight-member team barged to his house while coming out of his house to go for a morning stroll. He was attacked in front of his mother and wife.
