ALAPPUZHA: The police found the vehicles used by the accused for the twin murders in Alappuzha. The police found the car in Kanichukulangara which knocked down SDPI leader Shan. Police said the accused hired the vehicle. The police questioned the vehicle owner and collected the details of the accused from him.

The police have taken into custody the bikes suspected to be used by the accused in the murder case of BJP leader Renjith Sreenivasan. Police said those in preventive custody are being questioned.

Meantime, the police arrested two more in the Shan murder case. The arrest of Kochukuttan and Prasad, natives of Mannancheri, were registered. They were taken into custody yesterday itself. The two have a role in hatching the plot and that it was Prasad who arranged the killer gangs and the vehicle.

There are a total of ten accused in the case. The remaining eight have been identified. They will be nabbed soon. The ADGP said that if there is any other conspiracy behind the murder, that too will be probed.

There are 12 accused in Renjith murder case. More are likely to be involved in the case. Clear hints have been obtained about the offenders. ADGP Vijay Sakhare said further details could not be disclosed as the investigation was ongoing.
