ALAPPUZHA: The FIR prepared by the police stated that there was political animosity behind the murder of SDPI state secretary KS Shan in Alappuzha. The FIR stated that the murder was committed by five persons, including Rajendra Prasad and Ratheesh, who were arrested in the case. The court had remanded both Rajendra Prasad and Ratheesh today.

Meanwhile, the prohibitory orders declared in Alappuzha following the murders of SDPI and BJP leaders have been extended. The prohibitory orders have been extended until Wednesday morning. As per the remand report, RSS's political animosity led to Shan's murder. Those arrested were not directly involved in the murder. Police have collected evidence that showed that they were involved in conspiracy and planning. ADGP Vijay Sakhare IPS said Prasad was the mastermind behind the murder.
Investigating officials have gathered crucial information about other accused. Ten people were involved in the murder. Police said that they would be arrested soon.
