political-murder

After a brief interval, Kerala is discussing two brutal political killings. Is the political monster around is so terrifying that it can demonically kill? The victim of the murder in Mannancherry was Adv. K S Shan, thirty-eight-year-old. The young man was also the state secretary of the SDPI. When he was returning home after closing his shop, the group in a car hit his scooter and mercilessly hacked him to death. Within hours of being hospitalized, Shan died. As a tit for tat, on Sunday morning, a group of 12 men broke into a house in Alappuzha town, beat up and hacked BJP district vice-president and OBC Morcha secretary Ranjith Srinivasan to death in front of his mother and children. Ranjith Srinivasan, 46, was a lawyer.
Shan had forty cuts while Ranjit Srinivasan had more than 20 cuts on his body. As the two leaders became victims of political animosity, their children have become fatherless.
Both have two daughters each. How can their families with their wives, parents and siblings recover from this tragedy? The fact that there have been 225 political assassinations in the state in half a century is shocking. Kerala, which is widely hailed as a model for other states in many respects, is shocked to see the bloodbath.

The political leadership that leads and controls the killers, despite seeing this great sin constantly repeated, remains mute spectators. That great guilt cannot be concealed by shedding false tears, or by building a monument, or by raising a family relief fund. Society has come a long way, abandoning the vicious cycle of murder ainstead of murder. They become true patriots only when politicatinsgal leaders are able to guide those who do not understand this reality to the right path. How many peace rallies, all-party meetings, leadership calls - have there been any results? In Kannur alone, 125 people have lost their lives in political violence during the last 35 years. Elsewhere, the poisons of political hatred are beginning to germinate as the situation worsens. If the state is to be freed from this heinous act, the concerned political leaders must bring in strict codes of conduct in the matter of ranks. Each party must make a firm decision that the perpetrators will have no place in the organization. All of this is never going to happen completely unless I say so. Because any party needs militant groups for anything.

Several people have been taken into police custody and are being questioned in connection with the two coldblooded murders in Alappuzha. We need to find the real culprits from their statements. If there is no intervention, the police can do it quickly. Law enforcement should be able to bring the culprits to justice as soon as possible in such cases. Violence in the name of politics is unleashed because there is no fear for the law. Direct and indirect assistance from the authorities allow the perpetrators to roam freely. In addition to issuing statements after the killings, the police should also be assisted in bringing the perpetrators to justice without delay.

Even in the countryside, the camera eyes are active day and night and the aggressors are roaming around without any fear. In Mannancherry and Alappuzha town, there have been reports of militants going on a 'hunt'.
Politics aside, any murder is of the same nature. The family of the victim is orphaned. There will be many people to comfort and help in times of disaster. As the days go by these families will all have to look after themselves? The future of babies is very painful. The attackers will not commit such atrocities if they think for a moment about their own family. Precautions should be taken to prevent further spread of toxic fumes in the atmosphere. Those who are ready to sharpen their weapons for attacks should remember pitiful faces of teary-eyed children.
