THRISSUR: The truth behind the killing of a man by wife's lover came out during a tactical interrogation of the police. Although Reshma Beevi changed her statement several times, the police questioned her without showing any suspicion. Reshma changed her words and tried to save her boyfriend. When the police team separately questioned them, they burst into tears and revealed the truth. They also showed where the body was buried. Iringalakuda DySP Babu K Thomas and Inspector TV Shibu led by Thrissur Rural SP G Poonkuzhali did the interrogation. A team of medical college doctors led by senior police officials including Special Branch DySP Bijukumar reached the spot and recovered the body. Fingerprints, scientists and the Dog Squad were also present. Tahsildar Neelambaran conducted the inquest.

Forbade the children from entering from father's room

The children were sleeping soundly in the downstairs room when the murder took place upstairs. When they searched for their dad in the morning, the mother told them that he had got on his friend's bike in the morning and left. She threatened the children by saying that their dad would beat them if they try to enter his room. The faces of the children, who spoke innocently without knowing anything about the incident, was a sad sight for the locals. Police have not received any indication of murder or altercation from the children. They were taken away by Child Welfare Committee workers on Sunday.
